About Me

Hi, I’m Alex — a registered nurse with over 16 years of experience in oncology, step-down ICU, home health,aesthetics(personal) and travel nursing. Throughout my career, I’ve worked as an RN within respected healthcare systems including Yale New Haven Health and Penn State Health, caring for patients in both high-acuity and outpatient settings.

In my free time I enjoy helping others doing charity work, exploring new restaurants, watching anything “Bravo” and spending time with friends. I began travel nursing to satisfy my wanderlust and curiosity for new places. It was my time working away from home that led me to start this venture.

As a working professional away from home and with little support, I often postponed my own medical care because I didn’t have anyone to support me. And one incident, after an accident at work, I realized just how difficult it can be to recover safely without a strong support system — even when it’s “not surgery.”

These experiences inspired me to create Nurse For A Day, a service designed so you never have to delay care or worry about who will help you at home.
